Is there a way to use TA for an EMT-B through an agency?

Hi, so I am a guardsman that is currently trying to get into an EMT-B class. I know that I can use go into GoArmyEd to put in for TA to cover programs through a college or university (such as EMT), but I was wondering about if I could do the same for courses put on through third-party agencies. The local community college runs and EMT course, but the third-party agency's course is happening much sooner (so I could get it done faster) and the community college's course usually fills up very quickly. It is my understanding that the Army's credentialing program covers test fees, but not course fees and that TA can be used for certifications if you don't already have a bachelor's (correct me if I'm wrong). The issue that I'm running into with the third party course, is that, because it is not a college or university, it doesn't show up when I go to change my school info on GoArmyEd. Does this prevent me from being able to use TA for the course?

I believe TA has to be used for a program that has been accepted and accredited through a college, university, or trade school. GI Bill is a little more flexible. I would suggest reaching out to your States Adjutant General’s Office for clarification.

The Army just launched a credentialing assistance program, ARNG personnel are eligible as of 1 JAN 2020. Check out the website, it may very well cover you.
