If you already have 3 years in the MOS, I would say just finish your contract, then reclass. You have your whole career in front of you.Response by SSG James Bloodworth made Nov 8 at 2018 12:15 PM2018-11-08T12:15:02-05:002018-11-08T12:15:02-05:00CPT Lawrence Cable4110554<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is your MOS one of the shortage MOS's, and that would be my guess, then you will probably have to wait until you re-enlist to get the chance to reclass. I would talk to COC and Retention to find my real world options. You might get lucky and be in an over strength MOS.Response by CPT Lawrence Cable made Nov 8 at 2018 12:22 PM2018-11-08T12:22:55-05:002018-11-08T12:22:55-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member4110627<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would just finish of the contract by extending so you wont get out. Once you complete your time that you signed for the $12,000 then you can re-class. Cause you know the Army they will want the money back if you don't complete your contract. And they will most likely ask for all of it.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 8 at 2018 12:55 PM2018-11-08T12:55:06-05:002018-11-08T12:55:06-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member4110733<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>For the NG? No. If you don't finish your obligation you'll owe the unserved portion.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 8 at 2018 1:47 PM2018-11-08T13:47:02-05:002018-11-08T13:47:02-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member4110841<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In some cases if you move over to another Bonus MOS it is possible but highly difficult.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 8 at 2018 2:33 PM2018-11-08T14:33:38-05:002018-11-08T14:33:38-05:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member5740018<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>From one Guard soldier to another I do not think so. They will do a debt payment on you and you will never see any bonus. I did this for my SMOS for promotion for a deployment. They got me for 12,000$ 6 yr reenlistment. It’s bull crap but it happens.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 4 at 2020 3:52 PM2020-04-04T15:52:21-04:002020-04-04T15:52:21-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member5802861<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Can the rest of my contract be forfeited after I reclassification to 68L?Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 22 at 2020 4:49 AM2020-04-22T04:49:41-04:002020-04-22T04:49:41-04:002018-11-08T11:52:38-05:00
