But to be honest, the most important/influential person in my life would be my former Sergeant Major. Her name is Carolyn Barnes and was the first major Sergeant Major that I encountered in my military career and has been there for me more times than I can count. Back when I was a young private, she instilled into me the importance of taking care of Soldiers and doing what you can to take care of them. She taught me about the importance of being a true Noncommissioned Officer. In my opinion, she was the best NCO I have ever encountered and taught me the difference between a NCO and a Sergeant. I have always done my best to live to these values of what she taught me when I have encountered my Soldiers and helping them through their cases/issues. Although, I know she is not on here on Rally Point, I give everything I ever learned of being an NCO to her!! Thank you, Sergeant Major Carolyn Barnes aka Mama Barnes!!Response by SSG Ryan Moore made Mar 2 at 2016 10:36 AM2016-03-02T10:36:19-05:002016-03-02T10:36:19-05:00PV2 Private RallyPoint Member1347088<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>ME!!!Response by PV2 Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 2 at 2016 10:59 AM2016-03-02T10:59:51-05:002016-03-02T10:59:51-05:00Sgt Tammy Wallace1347291<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes. I knew ladies who worked at North American Aviation in Los Angeles CA near the LA Airport & helped to build the B-25 Mitchell Bomber and P-51 Mustang.
