Is there a regulation that states you cannot wear eye protection or other eye wear on top of your head?

O.k. I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer to.  I have gone though AR 670-1 and looked at almost every alaract message that has come out about the uniform and I can't find anything that states that you are not aloud to wear your eye protection, or any eye wear for that matter, on top of your head.  I did see how you are not aloud to let them hang down around your neck with the cord attached to them though.  I'm trying to square away some soldiers and I just want to make sure I have it in black and white to back it up.

I don't think it says anywhere you can't wear them on your head. It also doesn't say anywhere you can't crap in your sink whilst living in the barracks.

Actually, if you look at the training slides the Army made with the changes to 670-1; slide 38 states glasses are not to be worn on top of the head at any time.

I would say that they are either to be worn properly (on the face) or not worn at all.

the new 670-1 revisions that are coming out says you can't have them on your head

I know it conveys a bit of undiscipline and disorder. However that said in garrison absolutely not... I did see senior Officers and Enlisted wearing them form time to time on their heads in Iraq and Afghanistan. I also see subordinates wearing them in this fashion from time to time as well; a simple vocal address to remove from their heads is acceptable. If it is not in black and white then it doesn't apply. Corrective action for this dilemma....a unit SOP that strictly forbids the wear of eye pro on the head would be sufficient.
