(short of cannibalizing unassigned masks). I ordered Class IX for about 25% of my total masks, and G4 denied the order due to the typical &quot;funding&quot; reason. I was also told that they would only replace expendables as needed for dead-lined. <br /><br />Is there doctrine that supports having some % of replacement parts? Maybe the quantity for some of those parts are at least 2. <br /><br />I normally went through the SAMS-E clerk and had no issues.<br /><br />Past the SAMS-E shop, the TM, the CBRN FM&#39;s, and a possible CBRN defense school house on base, I got nothing. I would just go to your local -30 level maintenance guys and gals and out in a request for a handful of replacement parts. In my experience they were more than willing to throw me a small tacklebox full of misc parts so that I wouldn&#39;t have to bug them as often. Essentially, you are limited to the parts you need for that fiscal year unless an exemption such as lead time applies. When I was an armorer, I ran into this regularly. What I did was when I ordered parts I would pad the request a bit. Say I needed 3 firing pins, I would order 5. I wouldn&#39;t take it to the extreme, but having enough to do common repairs on say 5-10 widgets shouldn&#39;t be a problem.
