I don't know for a fact that it increases the likelihood of being selected (haven't seen any studies or numbers), but I don't think they would waste the money/time of sending soldiers if it didn't yield results at selection.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 31 at 2019 7:24 PM2019-07-31T19:24:18-04:002019-07-31T19:24:18-04:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member4869011<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No correlationResponse by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 31 at 2019 8:00 PM2019-07-31T20:00:56-04:002019-07-31T20:00:56-04:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member4869016<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>When it comes to RASP, having your tab definitely won’t hurt youResponse by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 31 at 2019 8:02 PM2019-07-31T20:02:25-04:002019-07-31T20:02:25-04:00SFC(P) Jonathan P.4869416<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Advice that was given to me when I asked the same question. If you worried about making through ranger school or rasp then maybe it’s not for you. If you're accepted to attend then they already want you and think you have a chance of passingResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 1 at 2019 1:51 AM2019-08-01T01:51:19-04:002019-08-01T01:51:19-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member4869795<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It depends on rank and MOS. If your a 11B SSG, they pretty much expect you to have it already. If your a 35 series CW2, they will ask if you would like to go to school, but wont force it. Having the tab is only a very small portion of what they look at.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 1 at 2019 2:57 AM2019-08-01T02:57:56-04:002019-08-01T02:57:56-04:00SGM Bill Frazer4872125<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Normally you have to be Tabbed for them to consider you for the Regt, unless you have a critical MOS.Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Aug 1 at 2019 7:58 PM2019-08-01T19:58:11-04:002019-08-01T19:58:11-04:002019-07-31T19:16:03-04:00
