Is there a high demand for Army officers, currently or in the near future, due to the changes in the Army, ACFT, end of wars, etc.?

Is the Army likely to become smaller in the future (hearing from outside sources due to changes such as ACFT and the ends of Iraq and Afghanistan wars?

The need for officers will always be there. The size of the Army depends on how many Soldiers are in. The force grows and contracts due to wars, budgets, etc.

Even if there isn't a pressing need in the present, there will always be a need to have the 'ROCk' (Reserve Officer Corps now Officer Reserve Corps)

The ACFT won't change the need for officers, it's just a PT test. Across the board, officers probably perform better as a whole than the Enlisted Corps does on PT tests - you rarely see an officer fail a PT test.
The military already drew down after the Iraq war and will always continue to fluctuate a bit depending on who is in office. The size of our military is based on our strategy, which is currently to have a large enough army to fight a two front war. For us, that's about a half million active duty army. Don't expect any major changes to that number in the next decade or so unless there's is a massive new threat
