Is there a dog restriction on bases I’m switching from reserves to active duty and wanna get a blue nose pitbull?

Most installations, if you choose to live on post, will have dog restrictions that have pitbulls of any kind on their list.

You will have to check base by base., living on post has some restrictions.

Every set of orders I’ve ever seen has the same blurb about breed restrictions. That’s why I gave away my American Stafforshire Terrier when I went active. Of course, every base I’ve ever been to people have pit bulls and if I had known I never would have given up my dog

Yes, check with post housing before you get your dog pertaining to your assigned active duty installation on breed restrictions....you did not mention if your single or married? Single in the barracks ... not going to happen, you have a better chance with housing if you gain familial housing. I have seen restricted dogs on post regardless as they get their dog after moving into housing on post. Housing will ride around post in the housing areas and report unauthorized breeds..good luck hooah!
