He explained to me that USAREUR use or lose start at 40 days instead of 60 days. I have checked HRC as well as AR 600-8-10 and cannot find any proof of this. Has anyone heard of this before? Is there a different policy for use or lose days in USAREUR?2016-07-25T03:35:42-04:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member1747509<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was informed today by an individual that USAREUR has a different policy pertaining to use or lose days than big Army. However you must always 'Trust, but verify'. Ask to see the policy in writing. It could be somewhere in your CoC that it was made a policy. If it's not written and signed by Command it's not a policy.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 25 at 2016 4:06 AM2016-07-25T04:06:27-04:002016-07-25T04:06:27-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member1747575<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Can't trust them barracks lawyers man. Army policy states that use/lose leave starts at 60 days, unless you are currently deployed or have been deployed during the fiscal year that prevents you from using regular leave. Ask where the policy letter is at, and if there isn't one, just keep them. I honestly miss the days of 75 leave days before hitting use/lose. I just left USAEUR last November, so I'm fairly familiar with USAEUR policies.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 25 at 2016 4:34 AM2016-07-25T04:34:24-04:002016-07-25T04:34:24-04:00SFC John Hill1747815<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>AR says 60 days before "use or lose." USAREUR Regulations cannot change that. Units have to have policy letters, which must be on file and accessible, explaining the unit's leave policy while in Europe. I.e. when one can/cannot use leave, travel restrictions, etc.Response by SFC John Hill made Jul 25 at 2016 8:31 AM2016-07-25T08:31:27-04:002016-07-25T08:31:27-04:00SFC David McMahon1748344<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not true, see SGT Dutton's replyResponse by SFC David McMahon made Jul 25 at 2016 11:57 AM2016-07-25T11:57:18-04:002016-07-25T11:57:18-04:00SSG Jason Trammell1752234<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not true. Back to back USAEUR tours, plus deployments from there. Use or lose starts at 60 days. You need to get with your unit and find out where they have the policy posted for leave. Don't listen to anyone in the barracks as I am pretty sure they don't know what they are talking about.Response by SSG Jason Trammell made Jul 26 at 2016 3:54 PM2016-07-26T15:54:23-04:002016-07-26T15:54:23-04:002016-07-25T03:35:42-04:00
