Is there a DEERS that happens to be open on the weekends? Or a way for my wife to get her dependent ID without her being there?

So we live in the northern Virginia area and my wife has a tough schedule to work with during the weekdays. I was told by the lady at DEERS that there is one open on Saturday’s near the DC area but I have not seen it in the RAPIDS website.

It's possible that a Guard/Reserve unit might have an ID office that functions on drill weekends. You might want to call one of the offices listed at RAPIDS and see if they know of any.

I looks at the DEERS website and didn't see any. You can check online yourself and call around to see if you can find one. Sometimes the Guard will do it on a drill weekend but that wouldn't be posted.

Not sure about Northern VA but the ID card office in the NEX at Norfolk is open on Saturdays. That's where I had to go to get my son's ID card. Get there early!

I know this is a late reply. But I run A DEERS office in Missouri. There is a form called the DD form 1172–2 that you can sign and your wife can get her ID Card without you being there. Also our DEERS office is open on drill weekends. (Im in MO so idk how it is in other states)
