Is there a blood pressure waiver for the US Army if a doctor writes a letter?

I have high blood pressure when I go to the doctor, but they studied me and found that I have white coat syndrome which means I only have high blood pressure in hospital or around doctors because I just have a phobia of doctors. If I get a doctor write a letter to meps will it get accepted?

140/90 is the mark but just go relaxed. A Primary care doctor will not write you a letter. White coat syndrome is not a real diagnosis of a mental disorder. Think about rainbows and puppies and your favorite food and your bf or gf seeing you on a flashy uniform. Be calm not need to be nervous. Just be truthful and follow directions. If you’re high for blood pressure you’ll have a few chances to redo it before you will asked to try again another day. If it’s super high they may ask you to see a doc afterward. But do not bring a doctors note it will be thrown out and you’ll be laughed at.

This may be so, however it is the doctor that must clear you. Doubtful. Never hurts to try.

A recruiter told me that you cannot join the army with high blood pressure, although you can stay in the army if it develops. I would say do everything you can to lower it, daily exercise , strict diet,garlic supplements ect
