CPT Private RallyPoint Member I don't think so, in fact not enough for world peace. It will take a world effort to defeat ISIS.

I am a big supporter of military to military programs. The combined training events build ties and share useful information, and there are subtle but real effects on the behaviors of both their and our armies. It has an awful lot of bang for the buck.

One of the additional primary effects of mil-to-mil training is not just the increased capacity or capability - it is the relationships.

A good example was our ability to establish the airbase in Kharshi Khanabad, Uzbekistan in October 2001 to enable our operations in Afghanistan. One of the largest factors enabling that to take place so quickly was the personal relationships developed in the previous years' M2M engagements.

We need to keep these programs and expand with Russia and China, even if exchange program only. Working and training together, building relationships is the only way we avoid misunderstandings.
