Is the "OUTRAGE" Justified over the Killing of "Cecil" the Lion?

I think it is justified, however, the difference in the outrage over it and the butchering and sale of body parts by Planned Parenthood is more outrageous.

Justified. We expect lions to be extinct sometime in the next 3 decades. Killing for pleasure is wrong. Killing at risk species is wrong. Killing an apex predator known to be unhostile to humans and leader of 2 prides of lions, meaning more deaths to come, is wrong.

I think so. However, I think the uproar is more supported by killing that specific lion (a beloved subject of research) from that specific location (a sanctuary) in the manner he killed it (by luring it with bait). If he had just killed any lion legitimately, I don't think the uproar would have been nearly as bad.

I'll probably get blasted for this, but no, the outrage, as is, is not justified... Again, pictures or video will always get a rapid response from armchair media superheros because they are too darned lazy to research and read, but are quick to listen to BS, look at pictures/video then write condemnation... Not saying the dentist was right or wrong, and I do feel it was a terrible way for the animal to die, just that people should read and comprehend what this really entails before responding, and place the disapproval response where it appropriately belongs... For instance, had it been any other lion, the response wouldn't have been so great... People act like this is something brand new...

The "outrage" is focused on the wrong thing! I'm upset with the guides! They are ones who lured the lion out of the reserve for the kill! They are the ones who set all this up! The "dentist" is likely innocent (other than being a trophy hunter - which I don't agree with, but it's perfectly legal). As for planned parenthood, this is a disgusting organization that again, I don't agree with, but apparently a lot of people like it! Why? I don't know, but I suspect they make up a significant portion of the same group who are "outraged" at this likely innocent dentist!

Meh.. Justified to a degree. Not to what it is being portrayed as. 1/10th of the media attention it has received would be fine...
