That seems fair to me. That works out to about 3 hours a week for 3 years at a minimum, but nothing to say that someone can't put in 3 months of full time volunteer work (40 hour weeks) and be deserving of the medalResponse by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 10 at 2017 9:39 PM2017-10-10T21:39:30-04:002017-10-10T21:39:30-04:00LCDR Private RallyPoint Member2988834<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Most commands I've seen go with 300 hours over the duration of your assignment, 2.5-3 years, but there us no set rule.Response by LCDR Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 10 at 2017 11:49 PM2017-10-10T23:49:27-04:002017-10-10T23:49:27-04:00ENS Private RallyPoint Member2988872<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There is no requirement guidance for the MOVSM. It is totally at your Command's discretion. The standard is 3 years OR 400 hours, however, I have seen people get it with as little as 150 hours. My last Command required no documentation; my current Command does.Response by ENS Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 11 at 2017 12:20 AM2017-10-11T00:20:13-04:002017-10-11T00:20:13-04:00BG Gary G Harber2997381<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I flew both fixed & rotary wing aircraft.
