Is the MOVSM required to have a lot of man hours, or is it at the Commander's discretion? 2017-10-10T21:01:16-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 2988471 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Was told that volunteer hours would help to this? That seems fair to me. That works out to about 3 hours a week for 3 years at a minimum, but nothing to say that someone can&#39;t put in 3 months of full time volunteer work (40 hour weeks) and be deserving of the medal Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 10 at 2017 9:39 PM 2017-10-10T21:39:30-04:00 2017-10-10T21:39:30-04:00 LCDR Private RallyPoint Member 2988834 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Most commands I&#39;ve seen go with 300 hours over the duration of your assignment, 2.5-3 years, but there us no set rule. It is totally at your Command&#39;s discretion. The standard is 3 years OR 400 hours, however, I have seen people get it with as little as 150 hours. My last Command required no documentation; my current Command does.
