Those politicians will go away every few years. The people who would otherwise be killed by the weapons those systems protect against are more important than some politician's career. But it seems to me, if we are to keep Europe free from oppression we need to keep the "bear" at bay. The missile defence is probably the best way - another may be to elect leadership that actually says what they mean and stand by their word...
