The Democrats have begun to come to terms with the fact that they lost the election. So they are doing the next best thing to winning-- denying the other guy anything positive. This is a political manifestation of the "Scorched Earth" policy. If they can't get their way, then no one gets their way. Ever since the election, Democrats and their minions have been obstructing and have now found that any and all accusations (no matter how ridiculous) will stop ALL thoughts toward actual legislation. They have been using this tactic to deny We The People the government that we voted into office. Think I'm wrong? What legislation has been passed since Comey's termination? What has even been talked about, legislation wise?

This massive assault on the efficient working of the US Government must stop. The obstructionists are wasting taxpayer money with their investigations, special prosecutor, and just plain time wasting. STOP the nonsense and get back to work!

I think the proper term would be warlock hunt but the Great Orange President is not known for his vocabulary. So IF the special prosecutor is allowed to be truly independent then maybe the multiple investigations going on in at least two branches of government can be wound down freeing up our legislators can get beck to fighting with each other and not getting much done on issues that really matter.

Fishing expedition would be more accurate.
If the Republicans were smart, they'd have the investigations and testimony in open committee for all the world to see actual people, not "anonymous sources" testify under oath what did and did not happen.
Problem solved.
All of this current nonsense is a smokescreen to keep legislation from happening. Not one smidgen (see what I did there) of doubt in my mind.

In order for there to be a prosecutor, there has to have been a crime committed. As of 7:58 AM CST on May 18, 2017 I have yet to see any investigation (that hasn't happened) find ANYTHING that even remotely suggests that President Trump did anything criminal or had any reasonable knowledge that anything criminal occurred.

I think the Capital Police or Secret Service need to go into the halls of Congress and remove all these clowns that are doing nothing but grand standing and obstructing.

Why couldn't we have stuck with this statement?

"As I have stated many times, a thorough investigation will confirm what we already know — there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity," Trump said in the statement. "I look forward to this matter concluding quickly. In the meantime, I will never stop fighting for the people and the issues that matter most to the future of our country."

Absolutely a witch hunt... I think Democrats will rue the day they demanded this. The Special Counsel could (and should) look into the entire spectrum of "Russian Collusion", to include the donations to the Clinton Foundation, excessive payment for speeches by Bill Clinton, meetings and business dealings with Russian by members of the Clinton machine (to include her campaign manager), and the transfer of America's uranium reserves to Russia, as approved by Sec State Clinton, after donations and speeches that lined her own pockets. Yep, the Democrats will likely be very sorry about this turn of events...

As far as this being a Democrat witch hunt, it clearly demonstrates the old sayings, "can't find your ass with both hands" and "can't see the forest for the trees"... The witches (and the "w" could easily be substituted for a "b"and still be very accurate) are all around them and plain to see... Yes it is a witch hunt. In fact this is the first Special Prosecutor at a national level to be created without listing an actual crime in the documents creating the Special Prosecutor. In essence Director Mueller was told "Go out and find crimes related to Russia and the 2016 Presidential Election" and that's pretty much the definition of a witch hunt.

Given the current political climate, I think the special prosecutor appointment will end up working in Trump's favor. Mueller has two things - integrity ... and credibility with Democrats. If (when) he finds nothing, Trump's home free. On the flip, I'd love to see AG Sessions appoint a special prosecutor to look into the cuckquean's private server ... and the classified emails that passed through it. Think we'd see more meat than potatoes there.
