Is the AmEx Platinum card's annual fee waived for reservists?

I was on active orders (IMT) when I first got the card, so they waived the $500 fee for the first year. Now I am normal reserve status and the card renewal is coming up. I definitely don't need to keep the card if I have to pay that fee (as much as I like the airport lounges and Audible subscription). I've had a tough time getting a clear answer from American Express. Would appreciate any insight from reservists who have had this card, thank you!

CPL (Join to see) It's your money but if I had to pay a $500.00 (or any amount) fee for a credit card I would find a new company. Just saying!

I agree - American Express has a benefit where they waive the fee for members of the military. It wouldn't be worth it for me to keep the card if I had to pay for it, but if you get it for free, they've got quite a few perks. Just trying to figure out if I qualify for it.

I’ve heard of reservists just contacting them when on their AT and renewing then and having no issues doing so.
