Why wouldn't it be. I've got the job of my dreams. I finally own a home. I have a yard. I have a dog. I have a beautiful family. I'm living the American Dream.

A lot of things are beating it up. It seems like the idea of group rights over individual rights is dividing and killing the country.
As a Berlin cold war vet one of things that made us different then them is you could be an individual. In fact the more different the more proud we could proud of it because they couldn't be.
I am America can snap out of its liberal vs conservative mentality fast enough to avoid some much more worse consequences then we have already seen because of it.
It seems those differences we were once so proud of have been weaponized to tear us apart.

There is a drive from the small towns to live the dream and protect what it stands for. I see it everyday with neighbors stepping up to protect their community or become involved in services. There is a divide and it's weaponized on both sides aimed to shut down the ability to come together and make things happen. Divide and conquer is one of the oldest in the rule book. My question would be ... to what end?? What is the driving force behind and for what purpose. Another good tactic is the Trojan Horse. Where are we vulnerable... The people from all walks want America strong and healthy. I see them dedicating their lives to this end (here in the countryside)... what is ripping us in two? The baby wont survive, yet who or what will??

I believe it still is but its taken on a different meaning than what is used to be. Having a house a car and a turkey in the oven was one thing back then but now days it means wanting acceptance in whatever fashion that may be.

The ability to pursue endeavors is still prevalent, thus the dream is still there and kicking strong.

No matter what your pursuits are, or if any at all, at least we have the right and the ability to do so.

Look at N. Korea; they have to do their government's bidding or face retaliation an punishment.
