However, the website and a couple of other people I know in the NG say that it isn't getting merged, can anybody give me some info on this and what I should do?Is the 17C MOS being merged into the 25B MOS? If so, should I still pursue 17C or go straight into 25B?2020-01-31T11:59:38-05:00Chaise Johnson5503945<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I want to become a 17C in the National Guard but my recruiter keeps telling me that the MOS is being merged with 25B and I should do that instead. So, if you're joining to advance your skills, go 17C. If you're joining to develop new skills, or baby skills, go 25B,you can always switch to 17C down the road.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 31 at 2020 12:29 PM2020-01-31T12:29:58-05:002020-01-31T12:29:58-05:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member5504260<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>25B is an Information Technology Specialist. 17C is a Cyber Operations Specialist. 25 series MOSs are in the Signal Branch. 17 series MOSs are in the Cyber branch. There are some 25 series MOSs that ARE converging (25S & 25P for example). 17c and 25b ARE NOT MERGING. One day farrrr in the future cyber and signal may merge. The closest signal MOS to anything is Cyber is 25D, Cyber Network Defender. Last I read, It is only available to SSGs SFCs. <br /><br />Good job seeking more references for information! Keep doing research, don’t “settle” when enlisting. Get what you want balanced with what you CAN do. Good luck.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 31 at 2020 1:34 PM2020-01-31T13:34:09-05:002020-01-31T13:34:09-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member5504768<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>17C is one of if not the hardest MOS to be qualified in. hence the reason they offer 73K bonuses to become one.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 31 at 2020 3:39 PM2020-01-31T15:39:35-05:002020-01-31T15:39:35-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member5505137<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>We’re not being merged into 25Bs.
