But how many people are they filling slots for and how many are available? There's a very good chance that their promotion system models the Air Force since that is the mother branch. It's also likely that since they put out an open call to all services that they will fill all positions, effectively grinding all promotions to a halt for the next few years while they develop and institute a promotion system, promotion testing, and NCOES - assuming they don't just borrow from the Air Force until then. Even if they do that, the Space Force is filling ALL it's positions right now. ALL of their positions are being filled with a minimum SRR. That means nobody is leaving the system for at least 3+ years. No one will ETS or retire in the next three years, so until someone dies or they open up a unit, nobody is likely to promote.

Not sure what "grabbing cyber" means. You work on computers you're technically cyber. If you want a cyber MOS you need to reclass now (extremely easy in the Army if you qualify) because the Space Force isn't hiring you as a 25B so they can send you to school to reclass, that's what IET Soldiers are for.

Is it worth it?

Is it worth being one of the plank owners of a brand new branch of service, setting history? I suppose if you view the military as service, or and adventure, or "what can I contribute to make this better?" it's definitely worth it. The contributions of the first people will form the culture, traditions, and history of the unit for as long as its colors fly. You can walk into Air Force squadrons and see the history of the first pilots to fly in them.
But if you look at it like, "what's in it for me?", it's probably not worth the cost of time and effort you'll spend problem solving, acquiring resources, and working with no real support at the startup that usually happens when a new unit stands up.
