Is RP the LinkedIn for the military?

It seems to me that the career opportunities are lacking on RP. And I'm not sure I've seen success stories attributed to RP, but then again using the RP app 100% of the time seems to limit the horizons of RP. Anybody actually been able to find military opportunities through RP connections?

Also if there are any reserve commanders or 1SG's looking to fill mobilization slots either for chemical guys or "will train" for reclass, message me. Might as well see what RP connections can do, right?

CPL Private RallyPoint Member, I think it is the LinkedIn / Facebook for the military. I've never gotten a job through LinkedIn (or RP). There is a listing of civilian jobs available here: https://www.rallypoint.com/careers/civilian

As for military positions ... That would be kind of tough to do. In the Army (active anyhow), branch and HRC do the assigning and the moving around. It's not like you can just apply for a military job and move. At least not most of the time in the active component. I'm not familiar with Reserve or National Guard assignment procedures. Maybe that's possible in those components?

RP and the connections here serve to prepare you for a successful future. Whether you can directly find employment via RP or not the support, guidance, and mentoring will definitely open doors. The most important contribution is you.

I would say that it is kind of a special media for the Military.
Some people go outside the lines but you will always have that these days no matter what you do.

CPL Private RallyPoint Member, may I suggest that you put together and upload a Military Resume'? That could possibly assist you in your search for a position.
