Sure, we will still fight traditional battles, but they will likely be mostly against third-world countries or insurgent groups (perhaps proxy wars sponsored by larger powers). The only country that *might* still try to initiate a fight with us in the traditional sense is North Korea, but even that seems unlikely because they know our capabilities. They seem more interested in provoking us with missile tests and cyber attacks. CW3 Private RallyPoint Member Sat, 08 Jul 2017 11:19:00 -0400 2017-07-08T11:19:00-04:00 Response by CSM Michael J. We are in an evolving fight where our enemy/challengers attempt to defeat our technological superiority with tactics and gadgets that cost a mere pennies on the dollar as compared to our investment.

What changes lead to where we are today? Was it purely a shift into being a much more technically advanced military - No! It is a synchronization of systems, something Commanders and units do at every echelon (not always as in-depth as illustrated in the article). You always clear fires before crossing the LD and synch your assets to create the most devastating impact on your opposing force.

No matter what technology we have and what challenges our foes present us with, we must always remain PME (Physically, Mentally & Emotionally) Hard, training and preparing to engage and destroy our enemy by shooting them in the face. We are most lethal when we take advantage of all our weapons at our disposal and engage in fierce and overwhelming lethality. CSM Michael J.
