Traditional liberals (like myself) love individual liberty. Neo Liberals hate it. Be careful to indicate which you're referring to.

Political Correctness is not an ideology. It is an instrument of limiting free speech. Fundamentally it restricts us from saying anything that might offend anyone regardless of whether or not it is true.

Fascism is national socialism practiced in Spain, Germany, Italy, and Japan during the mid-Twentieth Century. In every instance it gave rise to a despotic rule over the citizens of those nations and resulted in a global war that left millions dead (including many citizens of the nations in which fascism took root)

Applying these definitions to the slogan appearing on the young woman's tee shirt will only lead to confusion. If you are willing to take responsibility for what you say, you have a right to say it no matter whether or not it offends someone. Why would speech have to be protected if it weren't offensive?

Political correctness has long been a weapon of the Left. (I refuse to misuse "liberal". I am "liberal" in the traditional sense. I love liberty.) One of the earliest protests against political correctness was penned by Tom Lehrer in the late 1950's when he made fun of folk songs which were the preferred form of progressive Leftist propaganda in those times. Lehrer spotted the fundamental flaw in politically correct speech: You're only allowed to say those things that the Left approves and assume that you don't need to hear opposing views because they are racist/bigoted/erroneous/etc. Implied in his song is the message that politically correct speech permits only politically correct thought.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yygMhtNQJ9M

The Folk Song Army by Tom Lehrer

Tom Lehrer's response to the folk song of protest

Response by CPT Jack Durish made Dec 28 at 2015 9:43 AM 2015-12-28T09:43:24-05:00 2015-12-28T09:43:24-05:00 LCDR Private RallyPoint Member 1200396

If, as I suspect, some people are too frightened to live in a world where they are the captain of their own ship...why should I be made to live on their rudderless ship of state merely so they don't have to take responsibility for the heading?
