Is it time to move the nation's capitol? Where to?

Well, that's one man's opinion. What's yours? I was inspired to ask by another question asking if we (RP audience) are going to attend the RPeople meeting(?) in Washington DC. It seemed that most aren't for the same reason I have for not attending: Too far, too expensive. These same issues keep most of us from going to our nation's capitol for any reason however good or important. Sadly, we must depend upon others to report what our fearless leaders are up to and inasmuch as journalists have been replaced by propagandists, We the People are left in the dark. Wouldn't it help if the halls of Congress, the parlors of the White House, and the chambers of the Supreme Court were more accessible?

One of the men seeking the GOP nomination for Nebraska's open Senate seat is proposing moving the capital from Washington to his home state, saying it would be an effective way to cut out the lobbyists and special interests that have turned Capitol Hill into an ATM dispensing taxpayers' money.

It's not just the capital that draws people..it's the monuments and museums as well. Should we move those? Will the White House move and CIA and FBI HQ?

You don't have to move the capital, just remove K-Street. The only lobby a representative should have is the constituency of their district or state.

Leave it in D.C. However if you were to move it I would say make it centrally located and throw it into Omaha, NE.

No. How many zillions would that cost? Also, I am pretty sure a bunch of airlines fly to Omaha and they have hotels. So I imagine the lobbyists would be able to find the place.
