For marines? I dunno. I can't spell either but my spelling is how I say it. Hua sometimes with a silent h and when I oblige I say it repeatedly as if saying hai hai hai.

Oorah (OOrah) is from the Marine Corps, and hooah (HOOah) is from the Army. I hated hooah. Best thing so far about the AF is not hearing hooah.

Depends on how many you've hammered down. When it starts with a "B", you drank too much. I've seen all sorts of variations. Word spell check won't help on any of them. Whatever you use will be skookum.

For the Army, I like HUA from some of the comments already given. sounds like a plausible etymological reference. The phonetic being "hooah".

For the Marines, I know quite a few Marines, some I serve with now and some are veterans or retired. My father is also a Marine, formerly of 1st MARDIV, and although his way of stating "oorah" differs from many of the others, I believe it sounds the best. He belts it out like a dog snarling and barking. The others simply say "oorah" with a regular voice inflection.

Marine Corps - Hoorah, Oorah, Rah.
Coast Guard - Um... Fog Horn? Idk.

Once had a CMSGT whose standard answer to a how do you spell question was - With a dictionary with a ^&%$#( dictionary.

Not sure that would work with this one though.

HUA is the correct spelling of Hooah. It actually meant Heard Understood Acknowledged. The Rangers took it and made HUA a fuck you asshole term that now is spread with cheer by all that has taken the big green cock.
