Is it possible to receive 50% of your base pay and medical benefits if you're under 20yrs but more than 15?

I believe the only way is to be 100% medically retired.

You can be medically retired and receive a reduced retirement, but it is not 50% of base pay. Depending on the circumstances, you may also receive Army and/or VA disability as well.

There are a lot of different situations such as medical separation, medial retirement, OSB, QMP, etc.

For concurrent receipt you need 20+ to receive military retirement plus va disability. If you have less than 20 you pick whichever is higher.

If you are separated and receive any sort of separation pay it must be repaid in full before you can draw va disability pay.

You can Apply for TERA in certain situations, but your retirement would be less than 50%.
