Is it possible to obtain a military uniform for a deceased veteran whose family members desire that the veteran be dressed in unifom?

Someone else may have better information but you will likely have to purchase the uniform and awards yourself, I know you can get a one time replacement of awards but I don't know if the next of kin can do that.

If the family wants the veteran to be dressed in the uniform of a certain era like WW II for example, it might be hard because those uniforms are not made any longer.

Contact your local VFW - American Legion or Marine Corp League they may be able to help. When my Father passed my VFW post had a bunch of Uniforms in boxes in a storage room that were donated for just that purpose, he was a Korea war vet and they had a correct shirt and jacket that would fit the only thing’s we had to buy was the badges and ribbons got them from a surplus store for about $20

You can check with a military surplus store as well. They may have the uniform you are looking for and usually they are relatively inexpensive. Depending on the era of the veteran you may have a hard time finding the type of uniform he/she would of worn.
