Getting wings just because they will look cool on my ASUs isn’t a good enough reason. It is a perishable skill that requires constant training to learn how to handle all sorts of situations- AWADS, masstac, slipping away from other jumpers, water, tree or power line landings How exactly do you think you will jump once per quarter in a reserve unit to maintain your status when a lot of your time is spent doing administrative stuff and APFTs? I also don’t see how an airborne qualified soldier would ever remain on the MTOE in a reserve unit.
