I was really hoping to land an AGR job because I felt it was more suitable for my plans. Is it possible to still do so?Is it possible to go from Regular Army to AGR before your assignment is up?2017-10-06T00:47:49-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member2974413<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I finished my obligation with the Army National Guard and decided to reenlist into Active Duty instead of ETSing. I don't know if you could get a conditional release from your contract in this case. However, I have been in hybrid AC/RC units where an active duty Soldier is loaned to a subordinate RC unit to fill a full time need. My OC/T support unit had a SGM loaned to them for about 8 months to fill the BN CSM position.<br /><br />I don't know how long you have until you ETS, but maybe you can convince the appropriate parties that you can serve in a similar capacity until you ETS, then apply to fill the position. However, I imagine these situations would be very uncommon.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 6 at 2017 1:02 AM2017-10-06T01:02:42-04:002017-10-06T01:02:42-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member2983373<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>look up prior service business rules that will give you an understanding of what currently out there and talk to a career counselor and get a 368 rolling from them.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 9 at 2017 10:05 AM2017-10-09T10:05:16-04:002017-10-09T10:05:16-04:002017-10-06T00:47:49-04:00
