Is it possible for someone to join a Reserves CA unit in one MOS, and then retake the ASVAB to switch to CA (38B)? 2021-03-03T20:06:08-05:00 CPL Private RallyPoint Member 6793113

-Active to reserves

Hello everyone so I might join the reserves I’m prior AD 11b I want to join civil affairs but I don’t have the test scores so what the army reserve recruiter told me he would put me in a CA unit as different Mos then from there I can retake the avsab and switch to CA (38B) does that sound right? Sure, but they’ll probably want their time out of you performing the MOS they paid for you to get. Which could be years. I’m pretty sure the fastest route to 38B Civil Affairs Specialist would be to study and retake the ASVAB to enlist as one. You’ll need to improve your scores, get approval from your current unit, and attend any required training for the new MOS.
https://asvab-prep.com/can-you-retake-the-asvab-test

Just a moment...

Response by Sarah Wilson made Nov 8 at 2024 5:44 AM 2024-11-08T05:44:11-05:00 2024-11-08T05:44:11-05:00 2021-03-03T20:06:08-05:00
