Is it possble to get extended family to live with me? My wife's older sister plus her two children.?

You can do what you want. Thay Just can’t be dependents, well they can but under certain circumstances & criteria.

However, do you live on post? That’s a different story. Family can live with you if they are dependents.

No issues of living off post. On government quarters the story is different! That been said, make sure the move won’t be a problem in your career. Family dynamics can become very weird really quick!

If you are off post, of course. If you are on post you can get a waiver for a period of time in an emergency situation. However, as stated by many they will not be able to live with you permanently without dependency. Thank you for your service.

That's a lot of people in Army housing. 3 adults + 4 kids = where's my space. However commend you taking care of family.

If you're off post, you're wife's sister absolutely can live with you. On post is a different story. You could rent a house or apartment off post or even buy a house. I would suggest that if you rent a large place, your sister-in-law help pay some of the rent.
