FN F Campos6770101<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not sure how common or possible this is but I am thinking about returning to active duty. I served in the Navy for 5 years. I completed my contract but a couple months before separating, I popped on a urinalysis. It was the only negative mark on my military record. After several years, I have been able to get my OTH upgraded to honorable. I am 30 yrs old, have my bachelor's degree, and am thinking of going back to active duty. My re code is RE-1 and my separation code is JBK (involuntary discharge at end of active obligated service). Any experience or input is welcome. Thanks :)Is it common to return to active duty after getting a separation discharge upgrade?2021-02-23T11:06:20-05:00FN F Campos6770101<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not sure how common or possible this is but I am thinking about returning to active duty. If the services are in need they’ll take you if you can stand up straight and eat solid food. When the y have all they need they want you to have a PhD. Check back and expand where you look. You may need to look at the Army Reserves or Space Force. Remember if they need you they’ll take you.Response by MAJ Gregory Moon made Feb 23 at 2021 4:11 PM2021-02-23T16:11:58-05:002021-02-23T16:11:58-05:00SFC Randy Hellenbrand6777330<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hmm, it appears that for all of the changes over the last 50 years, nothing has changed. Lot of people got bad numbers after Nam for little or nothing. They emptied out the jails in WWII to get infantrymen. Let's not even talk about what went on to keep up our strength from W's 2nd oil war.<br /><br />If they really give you a hassle about a: you did your time JBK, call your congressman. Heck, they wouldn't let me back in after 9/11 because mine was JBD.
