Usually, you would have heard by now. The best you can do is to start emailing the sponsorship program people directly (there's usually an email address for SOMEONE attached to the sponsorship pages). Sometimes the sponsor's don't get the message or don't know what they are supposed to do (there's no real effective training for sponsors and what they are supposed to do). Once you DO get a sponsor assigned, get the name and email them directly.

You may not get pin point orders until you arrive in Yongsan, THAT is common.

If it makes you feel better, I couldn't get orders until my sponsor hit the button and that didn't happen until I was two months out from my report date and still needed to schedule transpo and household goods.

If you have general questions, I'm in Korea now - Area IV - and will do what I can to provide info or direct you to assistance. I went on leave two days after getting my orders. Closest I had was a brigade liaison that didn't get involved until 2ID tried to snipe my roommate and I. In fact, I don't know anyone who did. I'm at Yongsan too. My unit is tiny, but if I find out about someone coming here I try to act as a sponsor. Keep in mind that just because you are on orders does not mean you will stay in Yongsan. You may end up at Humphreys or Carrol down south. What unit are you headed to? NOT a great first meeting in theatre. It could be quite possible that your sponsor is not in theater yet. I do see that you are in the MI field, you can contact me on NIPR, and I can see if I can help you track down a sponsor.
