If it is publicly traded in one of the stock exchanges then it is a legal and legitimate stock. Tobacco will probably also diversify into the crop and they have experience in already growing in a highly regulated commodity. This means your security clearance may be negatively affected if you own stock in such companies."
" “investments in marijuana-related companies as ‘involvement,’ which is prohibited. Even in cases where the subject him/herself isn’t directly choosing the stocks, he or she has the responsibility to stay informed and avoid violating the federal law.”
“stock ownership must be reported and the DoDCAF will determine if the ‘involvement raises questions about the individual’s judgement, reliability, trustworthiness and willingness to comply with the laws, rules and regulations, including federal laws.” SPC Herold Bush Sat, 19 Feb 2022 17:35:41 -0500 2022-02-19T17:35:41-05:00 2021-02-11T12:08:35-05:00
