Sir, I feel he has gone to political for an apolitical job. Systemic racism, yes but not the direction people think it is. Navy stopped having photos in their promotion packets and diversity has dropped which tells you they were promoting based on color and not performance.

General Milley is an exceptional leader. I experienced racism in the military. 2020 had over 750 cases of discrimination based on race or ethnicity in the military. I'm retired and know racism and discrimination will not go away but I hope it does get better for our brothers and sisters in arms who are affected by it.

I feel like his recent speech about how nobody could have foreseen the collapse of the Afghan government in 11 days was just a big excuse. It's his job as the head of the US military to plan for all contingencies and they certainly didn't plan for this one. Now 11,000 American citizens are at the mercy of the Taliban.

If the Washington Post was able to find out that many high-level Afghan commanders had been bribed to surrender by the Taliban, certainly our intel people should have known. I suspect they did know, but the brass didn't want to hear it.

He's the commander. If the mission fails, he should take responsibility and not make excuses. Not a good standard of leadership.

General Milley is definately incompent. I'm sure that at some time in his career he was a good soldier but now he is just a lacky for the liberal left. He should have retired as a junior officer because he does not show leadership qualities. This country looks like a bunch of pussies because of the current Democratic president in office although lots of the so called Republicans aren't much better. What ever happened to the motto "No Man Left Behind". I'm a Viet Nam combat vet and this fiasco is just like the fall of Saigon. It sucked then and sucks now. Where the hell are the leaders, They sure as hell arent in the white house

What he said was that people attacked the Capitol and he wants to understand why. Like he said he studied Marxism and that doesn't make him a Communist.
Let's look at the quote instead of the click-bait headlines:

If your definition of leadership is reduced to one political point that you do or don't agree with, I would posit that your definition of leadership is limited. That's like saying you don't think a particular racecar is fast because you don't like the color of the paint

I think he is a spokesman for the present administration, if there is racism in the Military it is taken care of, the white rage he refers to is a Democrat "buzz word". There is no significant problem with racism or white rage in the Military. If General Milley wants to be a good leader he needs to stand on his own two feet. I think he has more problems to focus on, such as now China is emboldened to invade Taiwan, and Russia to invade Ukraine, he needs to focus on how the US has lost face with most of the Allies and how to repair or at least stop the bleeding
