In my case, I went to Basic being 31 years old, I was older than all my PLT DS, I didn't offer any "fun" to them so I was pretty much invisible there. For me, yes, it was Relaxing Jackson. Our day room was soaked in sweat after the numerous smoke session; I excelled in doing pushups facing a downhill slope.

That being said, I'm not sure what it's like for today's soldiers going through BCT. I know it is an absolute cakewalk to my OSUT experience, so I can say that, in my view, it is indeed, Relaxin' Jackson. Going through FLW doing 20k+ rucks with 50lbs, my view is a little skewed, but come on! Assault packs? Oh and the pizza party at the end of their "blue phase". They got it rough.
