Is DACA worth shutting the government down? Who is to blame for this government shutdown?

DACA is a distraction to the argument.

The "system" has become so dysfunctional that they need any excuse possible to not pass a budget.

The budget for the next year, should literally be the first thing on the agenda every year.... not the last. We should never be at risk of the "government shutting down" however, when it really boils down to it when any organization shows their continued ineptness. Replace them. Don't expect them to get better.

The government has shutdown over a dozen times since the 70"s. The blame is on both parties. Maybe the people should have more of a say in what is being fought over. I thought these elected officials worked for the people.

Ultimately we the people are to blame. Why? We elect these folks and even after they show the unconcern we re-elect them. Time to wake up voters.

There is no political will do avoid it on either side. All this posturing is related to the mid-terms, and which side can come out with the most points in the eyes of their respective electorates. What it does reveal is the absolute contempt for Americans that the leadership on both sides of the aisle are showing. And how 'bout Mr. Art of The Deal? He had two chances and blew them both.....

Unfortunately there is plenty of blame to go around. The voters that keep sending these folks back to Congress have to bear a large majority of it. Of BOTH political parties. No innocents here.

Simply answered, no. It's just a way to create a shutdown because, in the past that has been effectively blamed on the Republicans. Same old playbook, same coaches. What does DACA have to do with the Budget? The president and Congress want to fix the DACA situation, and have time to do so before Obama's sunset provision expires March 12th. Slimy politics, as usual. The Schumer Shutdown in on the horizon.

The perps in Washington evidently thought it was. If not that, another cause or reason would have sufficed. It is the new normal in our system of government - blackmail and threaten to 'shut down the government' to see who blinks first. Compromises are no longer possible in the present day atmosphere and national division. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. Either side can play the game because at present no side has a super majority on all issues.

Politicians regardless of their party they blame squarely falls on the continued conflict and turmoil going on in politics.
