Who is to blame for this government shutdown?2018-01-20T12:43:43-05:002018-01-20T12:43:43-05:00Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS3276580<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>DACA is a distraction to the argument.<br /><br />The "system" has become so dysfunctional that they need any excuse possible to not pass a budget.<br /><br />The budget for the next year, should literally be the first thing on the agenda every year.... not the last. We should never be at risk of the "government shutting down" however, when it really boils down to it when any organization shows their continued ineptness. Replace them. Don't expect them to get better.Response by Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS made Jan 20 at 2018 12:52 PM2018-01-20T12:52:04-05:002018-01-20T12:52:04-05:00SSgt Dan Montague3276636<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The government has shutdown over a dozen times since the 70"s. The blame is on both parties. Maybe the people should have more of a say in what is being fought over. I thought these elected officials worked for the people.Response by SSgt Dan Montague made Jan 20 at 2018 1:01 PM2018-01-20T13:01:39-05:002018-01-20T13:01:39-05:00Capt Private RallyPoint Member3276655<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Ultimately we the people are to blame. Why? We elect these folks and even after they show the unconcern we re-elect them. Time to wake up voters.Response by Capt Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 20 at 2018 1:05 PM2018-01-20T13:05:43-05:002018-01-20T13:05:43-05:00SN James MacKay3276706<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There is no political will do avoid it on either side. All this posturing is related to the mid-terms, and which side can come out with the most points in the eyes of their respective electorates. What it does reveal is the absolute contempt for Americans that the leadership on both sides of the aisle are showing. And how 'bout Mr. Art of The Deal? He had two chances and blew them both.....Response by SN James MacKay made Jan 20 at 2018 1:14 PM2018-01-20T13:14:54-05:002018-01-20T13:14:54-05:00TSgt David L.3276710<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Unfortunately there is plenty of blame to go around. The voters that keep sending these folks back to Congress have to bear a large majority of it. Of BOTH political parties. No innocents here.Response by TSgt David L. made Jan 20 at 2018 1:15 PM2018-01-20T13:15:40-05:002018-01-20T13:15:40-05:00MCPO Roger Collins3276919<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Simply answered, no. It's just a way to create a shutdown because, in the past that has been effectively blamed on the Republicans. Same old playbook, same coaches. What does DACA have to do with the Budget? The president and Congress want to fix the DACA situation, and have time to do so before Obama's sunset provision expires March 12th. Slimy politics, as usual. The Schumer Shutdown in on the horizon.Response by MCPO Roger Collins made Jan 20 at 2018 2:36 PM2018-01-20T14:36:07-05:002018-01-20T14:36:07-05:00SSG Edward Tilton3277015<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is the WALL worth shutting the government down? If not that, another cause or reason would have sufficed. It is the new normal in our system of government - blackmail and threaten to 'shut down the government' to see who blinks first. Compromises are no longer possible in the present day atmosphere and national division. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. Either side can play the game because at present no side has a super majority on all issues.Response by Capt Tom Brown made Jan 20 at 2018 4:13 PM2018-01-20T16:13:03-05:002018-01-20T16:13:03-05:00SSgt Boyd Herrst3277356<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Schumer is the catalyst for it.. time to string that cowpoke up and those that voted with him...Response by SSgt Boyd Herrst made Jan 20 at 2018 6:11 PM2018-01-20T18:11:41-05:002018-01-20T18:11:41-05:00SSgt Harvey "Skip" Porter3277931<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Politicians regardless of their party they blame squarely falls on the continued conflict and turmoil going on in politics.<br /><br />Peace!Response by SSgt Harvey "Skip" Porter made Jan 20 at 2018 10:18 PM2018-01-20T22:18:10-05:002018-01-20T22:18:10-05:002018-01-20T12:43:43-05:00
