But.....who runs the study? Coffee Beans Association of Brazil? Pro-Coffee affiliations? Same as asking "are eggs healthy?" Not to joke or to mock you but from what I've researched and heard through scicomm podcasts and college research papers on nutrition, results without bias are incredibly difficult to come by. I believe that coffee is healthy regardless of light or dark roast. I also believe that there is not a truly universal, controlled standard for specifying what is light and what is dark. Yes there is a range that is followed and can be noticed on color of grounds and the ratio of lighter to darker beans but that is still heavily varied between brands.
Healthier options? Drink water. Or maybe some kinds of tea. But what affect are we looking for? If it's about focus maybe it's actually dependency to caffeine. Or it's a strong habit and routine. Almost like saying you can reduce smoking habits by keeping a straw with you and using that from time to time. Psychologically that can help in the moment. So for coffee is it to wake up or to reduce a headache or to carry around and look important? I enjoy a cup too while drilling but started as fitting in with the rest. Now its appreciation for Joe's and Jane's hard work.
Negative affect is coffee breath. Oof that's icky. And maybe the staining of teeth but if you take care of your teeth and nutrition as it, shouldn't have such a negative impact. When newer studies adjusted for such factors, they found a possible association between coffee and decreased mortality. Coffee may offer some protection against Parkinson's disease, Type 2 diabetes, Liver disease, including liver cancer, heart attack and stroke. Coffee still has potential risks, mostly due to its high caffeine content.” So, we can use Decaf coffee, there’s may types.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/coffee-and-health/faq-20058339

faq-20058339

Sgt Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 03 Mar 2022 07:04:02 -0500 2022-03-03T07:04:02-05:00 2019-08-31T09:56:23-04:00
