The other my flag I received when I retired. If anyone tried to burn them my thoughts and emotions would be out of proportion.

That being said the flag in itself is a cloth representation of our nation we have honored throughout history. We those who serve protect all who choose to burn old glory.

Although, I don't like it it is not against the law.Response by SFC Stephen King made Feb 18 at 2017 8:06 AM2017-02-18T08:06:51-05:002017-02-18T08:06:51-05:00SCPO Morris Ramsey2351930

What do you think SFC KingResponse by SCPO Morris Ramsey made Feb 18 at 2017 8:08 AM2017-02-18T08:08:03-05:002017-02-18T08:08:03-05:00PO3 Private RallyPoint Member2351939

Of course it is.
Is crapping on the front door of someones home ? Respect the American Flag or find another. That is a YES BTWResponse by Alan K. made Feb 18 at 2017 8:32 AM2017-02-18T08:32:38-05:002017-02-18T08:32:38-05:00LTC Orlando Illi2352005

I served in support of the values of our country not a flag. If some people believe that the actions of our government are contrary to those values, then by all means they have the right to burn the flag to express that whenever I read a vet saying something like "they have the right,but..." And say they would somehow intervene physically just means to me they really aren't behind the right in the first place.

Look at the thread about the violence that happend at Berkley about the white supremicist speaker. Everyone said "leftie political correctness! We must allow free speech even if we disagree!" And I agree with that, the violence was uncalled for. but physically intervening at a flag burning isn't heroic or patriotic, it's the same as the violent protesters at Berkley--it's using force to stop political speech you don't agree withResponse by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 18 at 2017 5:28 PM2017-02-18T17:28:54-05:002017-02-18T17:28:54-05:002017-02-18T07:40:59-05:00
