I jumped on the opportunity for a couple of reasons, but one of the main reasons is because it is on our career map. What are your thoughts fellow career counselors? Will this help an individual make the next grade or hinder them?Is becoming a 79S SQI-4 detailed recruiter a good career move?2015-12-20T19:29:51-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member1188800<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There seems to be a separation in our field on whether this is a good or bad move. Recruiting in my opinion is about the number as opposed to it being about the Soldier. As long as you are successful I don't think it will hinder anything quite honest, it may set you apart I think.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 20 at 2015 7:34 PM2015-12-20T19:34:45-05:002015-12-20T19:34:45-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member1192250<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Careere or not.. In this fast pace Army Leaders are challenged with competitive promotions, evaluations, and assignments. If an individual's primary MOS is Retention and that job is vacated for three years then that individual must embrace catching up with the rest of the field to be relevant agsin.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 25 at 2015 4:34 AM2015-12-25T04:34:33-05:002015-12-25T04:34:33-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member2492749<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Anything out there that challenges you to better yourself as an individual is a good thing. Most in our career field are afraid of change. I highly recommend everyone experience a few years out there doing either recruiting or drill. It will make you a better Soldier in the long run!Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 13 at 2017 7:35 PM2017-04-13T19:35:41-04:002017-04-13T19:35:41-04:002015-12-20T19:29:51-05:00
