Yes, all SMCs have a recovery section. It’s usually within the GSE Platoon with Service and Recovery. They’ll most likely have an M88 as well.

Chances are you will be assigned to the unit that needs you the most the day you show up. I would not count on being assigned to any particular unit. 9 times out of 10 you will get assigned to a different unit than what is on your orders until you get a direct assignment at ranks of SSG and above.
