It's there. Both of my undergraduate degrees (one of which is from UMUC, 2009) just have the degree, not the discipline on them. I think it has to do with the way the Maryland Higher Education Commission accredits the programs. However, my Diploma does say what my degree was in. The actual type of degree is listed on your college transcript. I just completed my MS in Leadership from Duquesne and the diploma simply states Masters of Science. It probably depends on the college or that is the norm.
