The transfer did not change the rater ( an E7), but placed them under the newly assigned 2LT as their SRater. Most Soldiers in the unit had more than 4 month worth of rated time in the previous unit.
Question: Does this change of unit and SRater suffice for a Change of Rater eval?

Thanks you for your responses. It will help a lot.Is a Change of Rater NCOER required if a unit is realigned to a new command and the NCO has the same rater but a different senior rater?2020-02-15T03:39:27-05:002LT Private RallyPoint Member5561122

I recently took over my new platoon.

Situation: The unit in the Reserve component was disbanded and was assigned to a new command. Very few senior raters utilize it. It usually only occurs for especially good or especially bad NCOs in a particular circumstance. As long as the rater remains consistent, there are no issues.Response by SFC Casey O'Mally made Feb 15 at 2020 7:50 AM2020-02-15T07:50:50-05:002020-02-15T07:50:50-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member5561613

The only time I've ever seen a Change of Rater used in the National Guard is when a Soldier changes units after 90 days from their last annual NCOER (and sometimes not even then). If before 90 days, then the new unit will have adequate time to evaluate the Soldier and the old unit likely wouldn't have much to put on there anyways. I'm not saying this is the right way, just my experience with it.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 15 at 2020 7:58 AM2020-02-15T07:58:48-05:002020-02-15T07:58:48-05:001SG Private RallyPoint Member5561645

No.
There is an Optional Report that can be done - a Senior Rater Option.
Unless duties changed significantly or the rated Soldiers promotion board is imminent, I rarely recommend that report be done.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 15 at 2020 8:18 AM2020-02-15T08:18:30-05:002020-02-15T08:18:30-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member5562531

Not for change of senior rater.
