Is a 300 achievable by the time I ship, and if so, what are your recommendations on how to achieve a 300? I’m trying to give myself the best chance I can at getting into RASP. You have a passing apft. As long as you have a passing score you will not take another until at least 2022 due to Covid. You also don’t need one to pass RASP. Train to the standard, ensure to add warm ups, cool downs, and proper stretching. By following a set program and building in the PT standards you can accomplish anything. Ensure to add proper diet to the program. Recruiting stations often have a PT program that recruits can voluntarily participate in, see if one is available to you. I’ve had cadets go from a 200 APFT, to scoring a 300 or close to it within a year. They key is to focus on the aspect you are the worst at. For example if you have the lowest score on the run, focus on running the most while also not forgetting about the push-ups and sit-ups. Shift your focus once you reassess your fitness level and determine where your next weakness is at. Just like CSM said, make sure you stretch, warm up, cool down, and eat right. Also remember that when doing push-ups and sit-ups, make sure they are to standard! Effective 1 October 2020, the Army is moving to the ACFT. Review the new test guidance and start weight lifting. What i did is i put in hours of training before i went because the Sprint Drag run carry is the hardest part. You gotta push yourself and make sure that you work on them leg and arm muscles that's what my DS told me Response by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 29 at 2020 1:44 PM 2020-08-29T13:44:31-04:00 2020-08-29T13:44:31-04:00 2020-08-29T03:01:09-04:00
