When it comes to pulling 24 hr duty do you think the it&#39;s time for the Army to get rid of it? Many Soldiers do not stay up past 2200 or 2300. So asking them to stay up for 24hrs and then drive home is just asking for accidents to happen. I&#39;m pretty sure that a Soldier has been killed driving home from Staff duty because of the lack of sleep. Who do you blame if this happens? Do you blame the System or the NCO who the was on duty with the Soldier? Most unit don&#39;t let the Soldier take naps or watch TV. So sitting at a desk looking at Army books makes Soldiers even tired. Is this preventable?
