In your own opinion, what do you believe is the cause of the societal breakdown that we are experiencing at present in the United States?

Lately, the country has seen an outbreak in murders in the inner cities, the persecution of traditional Judeo-Christian values, a lack in the combined citizen faith in government and the rule of law, and a rise in irrational and uneducated protests. What do you believe has led us to this point?

Weak and divisive leadership for 8 years plus, Super poor parenting skills, Telling each child they were special when they were and are not, participation trophies, allowing emotional drivel to have more worth than it should, giving spoiled little children to much free crap without them earning it, assorted other societal failures and making up genders like there is no tomorrow to validate mental illness.

_Two earner incomes are a blight on the future of this country. I don't care which; Mom or Dad needs to be home to raise the kids FULL TIME, not older siblings, not extended family (unless it is a single parent situation), not daycare, not TV, and not Xbox. When one of us cannot put the daily parenting of our children above lifestyle... We are showing our kids that unnecessary material goods (new cars, luxury homes, lavish vacations, and expensive toys) are more important and more worthy of time than they are. Second household incomes need to be cottage industries done after the last kid is in school, during school hours; and at the appropriate age,engaging kids in work environments where they see, learn, and practice positive work ethics. Champagne Lifestyle is never more important than time spent wiping runny noses, applying bactine, and preventing pre-marital juvenile sexual experimentation.

_Social shame has become a bad thing. Social shame served a purpose. It was not arbitrary mean spiritedness and petty punishment. It helped prevent life altering BAD decisions

Example: Social acceptance of out of wedlock teen pregnancy.
1) A teen that is not mature enough to control his/her sexual passions, IS NOT MATURE ENOUGH TO RAISE A CHILD!!!
I understand that many teens are going to engage in pre-marital sex, no matter the consequences, but
2) A teen that cannot plan ahead and limit the risks of teen pregnancy with some preconception birth control; CANNOT PLAN AHEAD ENOUGH TO OUT SMART A CHILD.
3) A teen that cannot afford birth control, CANNOT AFFORD A CHILD!!!
Finally, someone who is not smart enough to know these things and/or act accordingly you should be embarrassed and ashamed of being so stupid. And spending some time as a object of shame may at least give some one a second thought about being "not smart."

_Moral failure of societal leaders and the lack of moral courage to hold them accountable leading to a lack of trust in societal institutions; Government Officials, Religious Leaders, Community Leaders. "Everyone lacks moral authority and moral accountability, why should I behave myself; no one cares and no one will hold me responsible." People in positions of special trust and confidence that abuse that special trust and confidence need to be "crucified on the road to Rome."

_Dr. Spock feel good, touchy feely, parenting. Until they are 100% self sufficient, contributing substantially to the family, and the community; CHILDREN ARE NOT THE SOCIAL EQUALS OF ADULTS. Example: If your still at home child, regardless of age wants to call me by my first name, he or she better be conducting and contributing as a full-fledged adult to home and community. Until then I am Mr. Bell or they can use my nickname "Sir." If you introduce me to your child by my first name, stand by for immediate DIRECT correction. If you encourage my child or Grandchild to ignore their parental guidance, and insist they call you by their first name, you can explain to them why they are grounded for disobedience. Plus in the future, stay away from my kids and Grandkids.

_Disengagement from the community and family in favor or TV, Social media. Many kids best friend is not another kid or a pet, it is an electronic device. Nintendo disappeared forever in my home when my 11 year old son left a friend standing on the porch outside for 15 minutes, because Mario almost beat King Koopa. "Unfortunately adults set the example and disengage from their kids in favor of passive entertainment. A parents, who cannot remember the last date, time, and social activity they did with their child is not a parent; they a sperm or egg donor.

I think we as a whole should sit down to do some reading on Russian history, but with that being said one of the most dangerous things in the world is a misguided youth. It use to be that part of the family role was to teach children how to question, to teach them to never accept anything at face value and to entertain the notion that they might be wrong and that shades of gray is a thing.

Actually, it all of our fault. We have allowed personal opinions to override what is best for our society. We let ideology and religion divide us, and ignore the giant problems of a combined, diverse society in favor of our own beliefs.
We are a nation of wide diversity and we will not accept that.
Additionally, when we demand personal freedom, we must pay the price. And one of the costs is just what is pointed out above as "problems." To truly have freedom, we will have those who will abuse our system. No way around it.

Let's start with the false god, money made the easiest way possible without honest labor to earn it and without considering the most unasked question in our universe, "Should I?" We give those who are essentially con men miniscule punishments for white collar crimes that theoretically have no victims, but in reality, separate people from money earned. Since when is that a victimless crime? Lack of use of a weapon does not mean there is no victim.
Then there are the Leftist teachers who brainwash their students wrongly, or don't bother to teach at all the Constitution and Bill of Rights or elementary civics.

Add a dash or two of anti-Christianity demanded by other religions allowed to spread their beliefs in the same government facilities denied to the Jews and Christians.

I think that is the recipe for the situation in which we find ourselves at present.

As far as protests and lack of faith in the government it was far higher in 1972 when I enlisted than it is now, Perhaps because then, like now, we have a vile POS as POTUS
