In your opinion what do you think of the UCMJ having input in a sm's sex life? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/in-your-opinion-what-do-you-think-of-the-ucmj-having-input-in-a-sm-s-sex-life <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It is my understanding that the Uniform Code of Military Justice governs the manner in which the sm can have sexual relations with ones spouse. Is this fair to the family. I personally think that what goes on between a husband and wife is none of any ones business but theirs, so long as it is consensual. Does anyone else think that the private lives of soldiers is being invaded by this regulation? Would really like to hear from any JAG Officers out there about this. It's there to state a moral stance and assist anyone being abused/misused in situations.  SPC Private RallyPoint Member Sat, 05 Apr 2014 19:07:58 -0400 2014-04-05T19:07:58-04:00 Response by CW3 Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 5 at 2014 9:02 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/in-your-opinion-what-do-you-think-of-the-ucmj-having-input-in-a-sm-s-sex-life?n=94533&urlhash=94533 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Anything my wife and I do in our bedroom is consensual.  The Army Reserve doesn't know about it.  You know why?  I don't talk about it.  It's none of anyone's business.<br><br>Now, if my commander came to me and demanded to know details of my sex life with my wife...that'd be a problem.  I don't know ANY commander who would be stupid enough to try that, though.<div><br></div><div>So basically, it's a non-issue.  Yes, Article 125 prohibits sodomy, and oral sex is considered sodomy, but do you really think a commander is going to ask his married soldiers "Hey, you didn't get a blowjob from your wife, or go down on her, did you?""  <br><br><br /></div><div>Really?  That'd go over like a lead ballon.</div> CW3 Private RallyPoint Member Sat, 05 Apr 2014 21:02:43 -0400 2014-04-05T21:02:43-04:00 Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 5 at 2014 11:03 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/in-your-opinion-what-do-you-think-of-the-ucmj-having-input-in-a-sm-s-sex-life?n=94628&urlhash=94628 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yeah, if nothing is forced, I don't really see the application here. Since that has been repealed the UCMJ had to be adjusted. The other thing is if idiots kept their sex lives to themselves and thier partners and stuck to consensual relationships there wouldn't be any way to apply the UCMJ to it.
