That all depends on if the person is saved or not. If a person is saved and a believer there are many scriptures to give encouragement and understanding why these dark days must take place to fulfill God’s plan.
If the person is not a believer... oh boy you have your hands full. Still, I would use scripture to at least plant the seed that there’s only one way from spiritual death and that is to accept Yeshua HaMassiach as ones personal savior. If the non believer accept this start by feeding the milk of scripture. It’s not easy and time is short, but it can be done because nothing is impossible for God who would have to do that calling.

PO3 Phyllis Maynard I always say to my daughters, my wife (Bella) and my Mom, "Keep you chin up, smile a lot, laugh every chance you can, keep a positive mental attitude, send something nice to each other personally, on facebook, during a FaceTime, or in a card; and stop watching the freaking NEWS!" I always tell them it’s my job to protect them and keep a roof over there head and to keep them fed, they know i will do the best I can with the help from the good lord we have always survived
