In Hawaii, are you allowed to get out on a chapter 8?

I don’t know of a specific regulation or policy that disallows a Chapter 8 due to being in Hawaii. Sounds like a barracks rumor but I do know from observation that requesting a chapter 8 isn’t a gimme or automatic. Just like any other military requests it’s a process.

Your location doesn’t prevent you from being chaptered. But you have a limited amount of time to request it, and you will usually have to do all the work yourself

If it's a pregnancy related chapter, I don't see why being in Hawaii would make any difference.

You can be chaptered at any time, anywhere if the Command desires/proves it.

You can be separated under any applicable chapter, regardless of your duty station, as long as the administrative and legal requirements have been met. I’m not sure what barracks lawyer or misinformed leader fed that to you, but it’s about as fake as Hillary Clinton landing under fire in Bosnia.
