You need a good balance to remain diverse. However, even though you are in QC and think you have limited leadership opportunities I challenge you with this. Seek out duties that will set you apart from your peers. For example, run ranges, lead NCOPDs, develop tools to help other leaders (standardized leader book), SHARP, EO, Battalion UPL, win a NCO of the Year Competition. As a Staff NCO I had to get creative throughout my career.
